As the 127th China Import and Export Fair comes to an end, the 10-day online event has won compliments from buyers around the world.
Rodrigo Quilodran, a buyer from Chile, said foreign buyers cannot attend the offline exhibition due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But holding the event online has helped to create business opportunities for them. Through the event, Quilodran said he has found the products he wants just by visiting webpages at home, which is “very convenient”.
A buyer from Kenya said that holding the fair online was a good trial during this unusual time. It is good news to all the global buyers, as it helps connect overseas buyers with Chinese foreign trade companies, the buyer said. Moreover, the online event has contributed to the injection of new impetus to the world trade affected by the pandemic, he added.
As an active trade delegation to the CIEF, about 7,000 entrepreneurs from Russia take part in the event annually, organizers said.
By attending the online event, the Russian businesspeople have a better understanding of Chinese businesses and make virtual tours of their plants, said Liu Weining, an official of the representative office of the Russian-Asian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs in China.
